The Kent Drug & Alcohol Action Team (KDAAT) manages the multi-agency Joint Commissioning Group (JCG) for young people's services.

These services are commissioned from a pooled budget for substance misuse services, given by central government and contributed to by local partners. The services form part of the Young People's Substance Misuse Plan & Strategy.

It is also responsible for the writing of Service Level Agreements with provider organisations, commissioning core services and one-off pieces of work as well as conducting Performance Monitoring and reporting to Government.
